It is a succulent plant with large, elongated, fleshy leaves. The leaves are green with reddish-brown spots. The plant grows as a rosette, producing tall, branched flowering stalks with tubular, bell-shaped, reddish-pink to orange flowers.

It is used for wound-healing. Its leaves are often applied to treat cuts, burns, and skin infections.
