It is a huge evergreen climber with numerous pairs of coiled revolute tendrils. The branches bear numerous large bilobed dark green leaves and white flowers. It bars many axillary raceme inflorescences; each is composed of 20-35 flowers. Fruit is flat with fine rusty hairs. Pod woody, dehiscent, reddish velvety, and 6–12 seeded.

Root juice is used in diarrhea.
