Descriptions

It is a medium size tree with reddish brown wood. Leaves are broadly elliptic – oblong or obovate, coriaceous, shinny on both sides and prominent midrib. Flowers white, fragrant and polygamous. Fruit drupe, globose, smooth and yellow when ripe.

It is often planted to provide wind breaks. The roots are also used to treat skin problems and boils.
