It is an herb or subshrub with a bushy and upright growth habit. It has ovate to elliptic leaves with serrated edges and a slightly hairy surface. The plant produces small, dense clusters of white to lavender flowers, which are disc shaped. The flowers are arranged in corymb-like inflorescences on the apex of the stems.

It is used traditionally to treat cuts and wounds.
