Descriptions

It is a medium to large-sized tree. Bark is grayish-brown in color and branches are armed with large, scattered prickles. Leaves are compound, with three leaflets, each leaflet is broadly ovate to rhomboid in shape, with smooth margins. Flowers and arranged in dense clusters at the ends of branches. They are typically bright red in color. Fruit is a legume. The pods are elongated and flattened, typically containing several seeds
