Descriptions

It is a medium-sized to large deciduous tree. Leaves are compound, alternate, and pinnately compound, consisting of 5-7 leaflets. Each leaflet is elliptical to lanceolate in shape, with a smooth margin. Flowers are large, showy, and trumpet-shaped. They are borne in terminal clusters at the ends of branches. The flowers are yellow with reddish-brown stripes or blotches in the throat. Fruit long, thin, brown capsules, hanging in spiraling clusters.
