The plant forms multiple slender stems, known as canes, clustered together to create a dense clump. These canes are covered in a fibrous sheath of old leaf bases, giving them a bamboo-like appearance. The leaves are glossy, dark green, and fan-shaped, with deeply divided segments that give them a delicate and graceful appearance. It produces small, insignificant flowers followed by small round fruits.
Throughout the year
The plant is primarily valued for its ornamental purposes.
