Descriptions

It is a tropical coastal plant. Its robust trunk is adorned with unique aerial prop roots. From this trunk emerge long, tough leaves with spiny edges, arranged in dense spirals known as rosettes. At the center of these rosettes, cone-like inflorescences bear clusters of small, creamy-white flowers with a sweet fragrance. It has a large, compound fruit resembling a pineapple.
