It is commonly known as velvet leaf. Its leaves are large, heart-shaped, and covered densely with soft, velvet-like hairs, giving them a distinct texture and appearance. Its flowers are small and inconspicuous, typically greenish-yellow and arranged in dense terminal spikes. The fruits are capsules that contain numerous tiny seeds.
