Short Description It is a deciduous tree with a rounded crown and elliptical, green leaves. It produces small, yellowish-white flowers and ribbed, oblong fruits that turn blackish when ripe.

Descriptions

It is a medium sized tree. The bark is dark brown with some longitudinal cracks. Leaves are ovate and elliptical, with two large glands at the top of the petiole. Flowers are monoecious, dull white to yellow, appear in terminal and axillary spikes. Fruit is a drupe, ellipsoid to ovoid in shape. It has five to six ribs on the outer skin.
