Distribution	:	It is cultivated and naturalized throughout India including Odisha. Native to South and Southeast Asia, including the Himalaya, Indochina, and Sumatera to Jawa. It can also be found in northern Pakistan, Nepal, and southern Thailand.

Short Description	:	It is a deciduous shrub or small tree growing to 10 m tall.

Descriptions

It is small tree with multiple branches. Leaves are simple, opposite, and ovate-lanceolate in shape. Flowers are fragrant, white flowers that bloom at night. The flowers are star-shaped with five to eight petals and an orange or yellow center. They are solitary or arranged in small clusters at the branch tips. Fruits are small, round, containing numerous seeds.
