Descriptions

It typically grows to a height of 5-10 meters. Bark is smooth and grayish-brown in color. The tree is covered with sharp, stout thorns along the branches and trunk. Leaves are simple, opposite, and lanceolate to elliptic in shape with entire margins. Flowers are small, fragrant flowers arranged in dense clusters at the ends of branches, white to creamy yellow in color. Fruits are small, berry-like drupe.
