It is a small, upright, spiny shrub. Leaves are oppositely arranged, elliptic to oblong, with spines. Flowers are Yellow, stalkless, tubular in shape, and borne in clusters at the tips of the branches. Fruit 2-celled, ovatelanceolate capsule
