Descriptions

It is a bushy, evergreen shrub. Its stems are slender and often covered with fine hairs. The leaves are simple, opposite, ovate to elliptic, dark green, and covered with fine hairs on both surfaces. The star-shaped, white flowers are clustered in terminal cymes, each with 5-9 petals, and are mildly fragrant. The fruit is a small, black berry.
