It is an epiphytic orchid characterized by clustered pseudobulbs, each crowned with long, glossy, oblong leaves. From the base of these pseudobulbs emerge upright to arching racemes, adorned with numerous small to medium-sized flowers. The flowers, typically yellow to orange in color, feature a prominent three-lobed lip that often bears intricate markings or spots. This lip, fringed or ruffled along the edges.
