It is a characterized by glossy, dark green compound leaves arranged alternately along its branches, each composed of 5 to 7 lanceolate to elliptical leaflets. It produces clusters of small, fragrant flowers in white or pale-yellow hues, arranged in terminal panicles at the ends of branches. It develops small, rounded capsules containing winged seeds.
June - August
The leaves and bark are sometimes applied to wounds to promote healing.
