It is an evergreen tree with a rounded canopy. Its leaves are large, leathery, and dark green, with winged petioles. The tree produces large, fragrant white flowers that are either solitary or in clusters. The fruit is the largest of all citrus species, round to pear-shaped, with thick, spongy rind and pale green to yellow skin. The flesh inside can range from pale yellow to pink, with a sweet or mildly sour taste, and large seeds.
February - April
It is used in traditional medicine to treat digestive disorders, promote heart health, and boost immunity due to its high vitamin C content.
