Descriptions

It is an herb with elongated, creeping, cylindrical, and fragrant rhizome. It has basal sword-shaped leaves, with a prominent central vein. It lacks a true stem. Instead, its leaves and inflorescence appear to directly emerge from the rhizome. It produces an inflorescence known as a spadix. This densely packed spadix consists of numerous tiny, greenish-yellow flowers. The spadix is cylindrical in shape. It bears berries as its fruit.
