Short Description	:	It is a climbing palm species with robust, spiny stems and large, fan-shaped leaves. It is used in furniture making and handicrafts due to its flexible yet sturdy canes.

The stems form thickets, are climbing or are clustered, they grow to 35 m in length with 4 cm in diameter.

June - August

The whole stems are used to make baskets, walking sticks, and furniture frames.
